PD & PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP

The Carlota Barrera team is looking for a highly organised and driven PD & Production Intern to support our product development and production processes across all RTW categories—from design handover to final delivery.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with a strong interest in fashion production, eager to gain hands-on experience within a creative and fast-paced studio environment.

This role will report to the Head of Production.
The internship duration is 4 to 6 months.


ROLE & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the translation of design ideas into final products.

  • Coordinate development calendars to ensure timely delivery of samples and production.

  • Archive and manage sample records and packaging.

  • Prepare bulk fabric and trim approvals; track and communicate feedback.

  • Collect and register raw material data (cost, composition, supplier details).

  • Help maintain tech packs and BOMs across all stages of product lifecycle.

  • Assist in fit comments, prototype reviews, and technical development.

  • Ensure timely delivery of samples and monitor shipments.

  • Maintain accurate product data on Zedonk and extract production orders.

  • Assist in sourcing and researching new materials, suppliers, and techniques.

  • Support wholesale during and after sales (line sheets, sample prep, showroom, PO follow-up).

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, collaborations, and in-house productions.

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Studying a fashion design or production-related degree.

  • Strong interest in product development and fashion business.

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel.

  • Hands-on, proactive attitude with attention to detail.

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Available 4–5 days per week.

  • Internship must be eligible for school credit.
